Fully-funded DAAD Masters Scholarship Program for African Students (2024)

The goal of the “Leadership for Africa” (LfA) scholarship program is to give young academics from Benin, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, and Mauritania—as well as refugees—the vital support they need to pursue their academic goals. This program offers chances for higher education at German universities with the goal of empowering people from these nations. LfA aims to be a key player in developing the next generation of leaders who will be essential to the continued development of their home countries at a period of conflict and displacement in many African regions.

A wide range of master’s programs in Germany are covered by the LfA scholarship; however, medicine, veterinary medicine, dentistry, law, fine arts, and architecture are not included. All LfA scholarship recipients engage in a thorough training program that covers subjects including job development, civil society, and good governance in addition to their academic endeavors. This additional instruction is required and serves as a complement to the standard academic program, guaranteeing that students acquire the comprehensive knowledge and abilities necessary for future leadership positions.

The “Leadership for Africa” program aims to develop a generation of talented and visionary leaders prepared to drive positive change and significantly contribute to the advancement of their communities and countries by combining academic excellence with hands-on training in areas critical for societal progress.
