Female students are underrepresented in Information and Communications Technology (3%), natural science, mathematics, and statistics (5%), and engineering, manufacturing, and construction (8%).

How to be Eligible for British Council Scholarship in 2024-2025 Session
Women who fulfill the following requirements will be granted admission under the British Council scholarship program to the UK for the September–October 2024–2025 academic year:
1. Applicants must demonstrate a genuine need for financial assistance, highlighting their financial constraints that may otherwise hinder their ability to pursue higher education in the UK.
2. Hold a bachelor’s degree that entitles them to apply to one of the master’s-level postgraduate programs at UK universities that have been pre-selected. This guarantees that applicants have the educational background needed to succeed in the field of study they have selected.
3. Demonstrate English proficiency at the level required for a postgraduate degree at a UK university. This could include presenting standardized test scores like IELTS or TOEFL.
4. Demonstrate a track record of success in their profession, work experience, or a strong interest in their field of study. This criterion highlights the importance of candidates’ professional experience and prospective contributions to their respective sectors.
5. Exhibit willingness and enthusiasm for participation as dedicated alumni of the British Council scholarship program, demonstrating a strong commitment to giving back to the community and supporting future scholars.
