Conditions to Enter the Sony World Photography Awards 2024
Are you prepared to take center stage and present your photographic abilities to a worldwide audience? A chance for photographers of all skill levels to excel is the upcoming Sony World Photography Awards Contest. Here’s all the information you need to know about the prerequisites for this esteemed tournament, whether you’re an experienced professional or an amateur enthusiast:
Professional Competition:
- There is no entry fee for this prestigious competition.
- Each category may accept up to ten images from any individual. There’s plenty of potential for artistic experimentation with ten different categories to choose from, ranging from landscape to portraits.
- First, second, and third place photographers as well as up to seven photographers from each category’s shortlist will get recognition for their outstanding work. The highest accolade? The title of Photographer of the Year, given to one outstanding person.
- The following year, the Photographer of the Year is granted the honor of showcasing their work in a solo display at the Sony World Photography Awards London exhibition.
- Deadline: January 10, 2025, at 13:00 GMT.
Open Competition:
- Don’t miss the chance to enter for free with a single 2024 photo.
- There are 10 different categories in which participants can submit up to three single photographs each.
- Up to 15 photographers from each category’s shortlist are recognized, along with the category winners. The exceptional photographer is named Open Photographer of the Year.
- Deadline: By January 3, 2025, at 13:00 GMT.
Young Competitions:
- June 1, 2024, to January 3, 2025 is when the tournament will take place.
- Photographers under the age of thirty may send in a maximum of three pictures that capture the spirit of “Through Your Eyes.”
- The photographers on the shortlist vie for the title of Youth Photographer of the Year, which comes with a Sony digital imaging equipment to the overall winner.
- Entries must be received by January 3, 2025, at 13:00 GMT.
Student Competition:
- Available to anybody enrolled full-time in a photography program between the ages of 18 and 30.
- Students must use five to ten photographs to react to a predetermined brief.
- Up to ten photographers who made the short list fight for the title of Student Photographer of the Year, with one exceptional photographer winning the top honor.
